FLs run on flathead engines with aluminum cylinder heads and are equipped with telescopic front forks and 16-inch front wheels.

A typical servi-car is equipped with either small or large box with optional tow bar. It also runs on a flathead v-2 engine with three-speed manual transmission and a fuel tank that can hold 5 gallons.

The ‘W' in the model number stands for the W family of motorcycles; L stands for high compression; A for army. Super Glide models are also equipped with a fuel tank that can hold 4.9 gallons.
